Connacht Whiskey Company

The Connacht Whiskey Company® occupies a unique position in Ireland, on the banks of the River Moy with winds swept in from the nearby Atlantic Ocean. Since 2016 they have been laying down Irish Whiskey, while also producing award-winning spirits & innovating with an eye to the future.

Their Single Malt Irish Whiskey will be the first whiskey from Co. Mayo in over 150 years and will be a whiskey defined by the environment in which the elements making it up were produced.

Conncullin Irish Gin

Conncullin® Irish Gin is handcrafted in the Connacht Whiskey Company distillery using a variety of botanicals.  The flavours are big and bold with a strong berry nose. The inspiration for the name Conncullin comes from the two lakes, Lough Conn and Lough Cullin, from where the beautiful water for their handcrafted spirits is sourced. This Gin has been awarded a Gold Medal by the International Review of Spirits, as well as being rated at 91 points by ‘Wine Enthusiast’ magazine.  It most recently won a Gin Masters Gold Medal in December 2020.

Ballyhoo Irish Whiskey

A beautifully crafted small batch single grain Irish whiskey, Ballyhoo® is aged for 4 years before the whiskey is transferred to premium port casks from the Douro region of Portugal for a period of 3-6 months to give a rounded sweet finish. 
Ballyhoo® Irish Whiskey was awarded an outstanding 92 points by the Wine Enthusiast Magazine, (March '19 issue).

Single Malt Irish Whiskey Batch One

Connacht Single Malt Batch One is made from 100% malted Irish barley sourced from Hook Head Peninsula, this small batch four-year-old whiskey is double distilled, aged in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Oloroso Sherry casks from Bodegas Fernando de Castilla in Jeréz. It is bottled at 43% and non-chill filtered.

Straw Boys Vodka

Straw Boys® Vodka, a wheat-based vodka, has been distilled in traditional copper pot stills and boasts a semi sweet and luscious mouthful. Straw Boys® Vodka was awarded a Gold Medal from the Tastings International Review of Spirits making it one of the highest rated vodkas in the world! It was given a gold medal and named best Irish vodka at the 2016 Irish Whiskey Awards, an accolade repeated with another gold medal at the 2017 awards.
